TYPING & ESCAPEMENT:

Every keystroke drops an authentic typebar and trips the escapement pawl, stepping exactly one pitch to the left.

TYPEBAR JAMS:

Typing too rapidly or hitting two neighboring keys simultaneously causes the steel bars to tangle in mid-air. Click "UNJAM BARS" to release tension.

MARGINS & BELL:

The warning bell rings 6 spaces before the right stop. At the right stop, the carriage locks until you hit Return or Margin Release (MAR REL).

CARRIAGE RETURN:

Hit Enter or click and sweep the chrome lever on the left of the carriage to zip the platen back and advance the line feed.

RIBBON SELECTOR:

Switch between Black ink, Stencil embossing, and Crimson Red ink using the selector on the right.

VIEW & LEAN:

Use WASD or Arrow Keys to lean and pan across the workbench, inspect knobs, paper bail, and margins.
